What’s for Breakfast?

The Paleo diet, it is as simplistic as you make it. You can be as creative as you’d like. There are foods that aren’t part of the diet. Yet the common question I have, “What can I eat for breakfast?”

For some strange reason, we think that breakfast consists of cereal and milk, eggs on toast, granola and yogurt, smoothie, pancakes, french toast, shall I continue. All of the above is what society deems as normal. But, if I told you that I sometimes have left overs for breakfast. Like beef stew. Or, baked fish and vegetables. Sometimes I eat a salad. And, get this one, sometimes I’m not even hungry and skip breakfast.

So, my question for all of you, what do you eat for breakfast?

I usually eat eggs once or twice every two weeks. Breakfast mostly consists of breakfast sausages I make myself, and some fruit like strawberries, raspberries, or blueberries. I rarely skip breakfast but do the odd time.

I’m kind of stuck on my fruit smoothie and maybe some scrambled eggs. I’d love to be eating breakfast sausages, especially home made ones…

Hmm, today was a two egg omelette w/onions red peppers and some left over roast pork diced up and thrown in for good measure.

And some defrosted frozen blueberries and strawberries with about 2tbs of yoghurt.

Then i looked at the WOD and decided I might have eaten a bit too much.

i miss my blender, used to make smoothies every morning.

Hey, I have something to say! I am so stoked to see so many more girls hitting the wod’s rx’d it is inspirational and motivating too! I know that I look at some of the wod’s and think that I will never get there ie: real deal push ups… but having the rest of you girls pushing me is a good reminder that the hard work will pay off!

if i am preparing…breakfast is usually some Kashi cereal (yumm)
if the bf is preparing it is usually crepes smothered in nutella. or waffles. (yikes).

Shout out to Lori for commenting on the girls hitting the RX’d WOD’s. Sometime you just need that extra push from a supportive/competitive CF peer to take the leap of faith and just go for it. TKs lori
