Let’s be honest

First off, as of today we can’t park in the underground. I’m sure we are aware, but if not, hopefully you see this before it’s too late……

So we’re here, no parking. What I really want for YOU is to keep coming to CrossFit. Maybe you can’t make it as frequently, but let’s be honest, if you stop coming for the next month or even more, coming back isn’t going to be easy. So let’s both do what we can to keep the ball rolling.

Plan #1
During the Olympics, it may not be the best idea to run our classes as normal. The change I envision is to have the gym run like we do on Thursdays. The slight difference, just one WOD.

I really don’t see us getting to the gym on time, or rather the time we intend. So, if you sign up for the 6:00 pm class, you have the time block from 6-7 to do your workout. Maybe your bus is a little behind schedule, and you get here at 6:30. No problem, go through your warm-up, follow up with the skill work, and then hit the WOD. Coach will still be there to train you, and help where needed, however, you may be doing the wod or skill workout on your own, or in a group. Really depends on who arrives with you. I would still expect everyone to sign up as per usual. The only thing that changes is that there should be no stress if you are running a little late, or if you have to leave a little early.

Plan #2
Furthermore, I am not in the business of taking your money if you do not train. So, if your attendance is sparse during the olympics, I will extend your pass. I haven’t come up with a quantifiable number as of yet, but like I said, it is my intention of being fair. Meaning, if you make it once a week for 2 weeks, you won’t lose 2 weeks of your month for only 2 drop ins. Make sense?

Please leave any comments. And yes Bruce, we’re all jealous that you can park at CrossFit Montreal! Say hi to Jacque for me.

Sorry to cancel at the last minute, Jordan, but thanks for letting us know about the parking situation. I just don’t have enough time to travel to Creekside and back by bus, take a shower and still get to work on time. However, I’ll be there on my days off and time isn’t so tight. You are so great to extend our passes if we aren’t able to use them fully. Much appreciated!!!

Good to hear from you, Bruce! Glad you are enjoying Crossfit Montreal, in spite of those nasty winter temperatures. I am still trying to reach my neighbour to see if she’ll rent her place to you. Will let you know!

Hi Jordan, Glad everyone is enjoying the ‘Olympic Experience’. Still I wish I was there. Hopefully Pat is successful in contacting here neighbor. (Thanks Pat!)

And hopefully Rob hasn’t gone down the Cakehole and met Canada’s military finest at the bottom. Reports are that they aren’t taking prisoners.

hey jordan, have you heard of any harness type aparatus for babies so i can use my boy like a KB, or strap him in tight like a weight vest??….kinda like yoda and luke?
at least the liquor store is open on sunday now despite the hassle of the fences…tp

Baby Bjorn is a nice weight vest. I’m not too sure about the using the boy as a kettle bell, child services might come knocking if the neighbors see that one. And along those lines, maybe no wall ball or ball slam;-)
