Embrace????

As much as I’ve been making fun of Blue People, Vanocians, Blue Invaders, smurfs, etc…. I couldn’t help but notice and feel some Olympic Spirit. All it took was a torch. This photo was taken as the torch went by the gym yesterday at dusk.

I think for the last few months leading up to the games, all we’ve been able to see is how it’s been negatively impacting our lives. And as much I’ve tried to remain positive, I think that was just an act. However, I feel like I am finally ready to make the most of the month of FEB. Today was the first real positive vibe I’ve felt with the games in this town, and I’m ready to jump on board.

So, you call 150 wall balls positive?

What do the Olympics and Karen have in common?

    Two answers:

You’ll feel great after they are over.

    or

You really wish you could have more of them.

Hey Jordan, Don’t forget that some of your favourite people are Smurfs! I know what you mean about the emotional impact of the torch and all the happy people because I went to the ceremony in the village yesterday evening. It was quite overwhelming… really made me reflect on how lucky we are to be Canadian. I was surrounded by many of my foreign students wearing red clothing and maple leafs and I felt so immensely proud. As for Karen, I’ve done it and I’m glad it’s done for the day! Have a good weekend everybody!

I know, I like smurfs. It was my favorite cartoon growing up. “How much longer pappa smurf?”

I thought i would blind side you with karen, distract you with the olympics. Did it work?

Yes, it worked… but my legs were so shot this afternoon that I was pathetic on my skis! Hard to do it all!

Yes, glad that you drank the Kool-Aid Jordan! And, happy to hear that you actually did see the torch ;) All I have to say is…since when was “normal” so much fun anyways? Dive in people, it is only going to happen once! (thank goodness)
