Running Club?
First off, before I talk about how much fun it would be to get together and run as a group, I wanted to praise all that made it to the gym today via alternate means of transportation. I laughed at all the stories behind how lackluster the bus service was. The only means of transportation that went on without a hitch is walking, running, and riding a bike.
Running club anyone? It hasn’t been in the programming, but it’s something we NEED to be doing. Running. Mads and I talk about trying to squeeze in running in the WODs, but due to the safety reasons we always seem to pull the plug. But, I need it, you need it, so let’s do it together.
I am thinking once or twice a week, maybe on our rest days, going out for a little jog. I do not envision these runs to be really intense, or really long (although they can be, that’ll be up to you), I see it as nice 30 or so minute runs. I’d love to hear who’s interested. And possible times that might work.
The question regarding classes from yesterday’s post seems to regarding when they are going to start being a loose start time (open gym style). And the answer is……..as soon as it’s necessary. It was my intention to start on par with the olympics, however, I have no problem getting that started sooner if necessary.
Good work on yesterday’s chipper. It was a grind, one that forced us all to fight a few weaknesses. For the record, no one got through 2 rounds here at the gym. But, it is possible, we can thank Steve for grinding it out, and fighting hard to beat the clock.

I’m up for some jogging, running drills, whatever! As for times and days, it’s hard to say, as schedules will be anything but usual. How about lunch time? You could have a sign up for various days/times, and then those that can could meet and go. I could definitely use some practice between now and March 27th.

Running…..YES
How about start using the whiteboard at the front of the gym and the blog as a way to get the word out? I’ll clear a space on there tomorrow to get that started. And am going to try and squeeze a little run on thursday. Anyone interested?
