Getting Started

We’re happy to see you’ve made it this far. To find out more about CrossFit, we recommend you read the following: What is Fitness. Now it’s time to tell you how to go about it.

We offer the same product two different ways. Private, or group training.

PRIVATE TRAINING:

  • Private training will take personalized approach to the crossfit program, tailoring Crossfit to meet your needs. We will progress you through the movements, exercises and workouts at the pace that meets your individual fitness level. It is no easier or harder then group training, just personalized to your level. Contact us to book your appointment today.

GROUP TRAINING:

  • If you’ve peeked at the class schedule then you would’ve noticed our Free Intro Class, Ramp-Up Classes, and Crossfit Classes. Simply put, if you’ve never done CrossFit before take the intro class, which is your first in a series of Ramp-Up classes to get you integrated and ready for CrossFit classes.

If group training is what you are looking for, here’s what you need to know. We start EVERYONE in Ramp-Up classes. These classes are where we teach you proper technique and safe execution of the movements and exercises regardless of your previous fitness level. If you are currently doing Crossfit at another affiliate, and are comfortable with the exercises used in the program then you are more then welcome to join our regular classes.

Our goal with Ramp-Up classes is to teach you the foundations of what Crossfit is all about. We’ve divided the knowledge base into 5 different classes, named Ramp-Up classes 1 through 5. We sell these as a package, and limit the class size to 6. These 5 classes are set up to be very instructional, and are an important part to your long term success here at CrossFit Whistler. The package is priced a $125.00, and will be completed in just under 2 weeks. We start our Ramp-Up classes every 2 weeks, conveniently following the free intro class. Any questions regarding how to get started, please contact us directly.

This may sound a bit confusing, but all you need to know is this: If you have never done this before, then please come and try our free trial class. From there decide whether you’d like to commit to the Ramp-Up classes.

If you’ve had a look at the schedule and don’t see any of the free trial classes or the Ramp-Up classes to get you started, again, don’t worry, send us an email or call to talk to us.

We also highly recommend that you read “what is fitness”, it’s a free article that is published by the CrossFit Journal, you can find it by clicking here.
